Shown are maritime students from Enverga University in Lucena City who were among the participants coming from various departments, at the recently concluded Anti-Hazing Symposium organized by the Rotary Club of Lucena in cooperation with the Office of Student Affairs. Atty Caliwara was the Guest Speaker, a staunch anti-hazing advocate who spoke not only about the law against hazing but also the evil consequences of campus violence in general. In his audio-visual presentation, instances of hazing were shown and its effects on the victims. With Atty. Caliwara are Lucena Rotary President Ray Romano, Quezon IBP President Jay Salvacion, Quezon IBP Vice-President Boyet Zabella and other local and foreign Rotarians. During the symposium, it was made clear that hazing should not only be regulated but altogether it must be banned and eradicated.
